4 Things You Need to Know About Not Enough Coffee

We know what we are, but know not what we may be.
~William Shakespeare

Monday’s article provided an overview of the site’s intentions, and today we will break down the categories so you will know what to expect in the future.

Like all things with human influence, this site will evolve.  The categories will evolve beyond the parameters and become more than they are.  But for now…

Not Enough Coffee’s categories:

Escapism: Articles in this category will be about the things in life that provide a distraction or escape from ordinary life, the components of fantasy.  Wandering through a fictional world and imagining yourself in spectacular situations is a powerful tool to brush off the mundane world of laundry and bill paying.  This category will contain reviews and articles about movies, television, fluff fiction, Zombie attacks, Vampires, superheroes and Video Games.

Examples:  Would Super Powers Improve your Life?

10 places to hide in a Zombie Apocalypse

Frustration: There are roadblocks on the path to self improvement.  This category will feature rants about the things that try to keep you down, the things in life that make us think “There’s not enough coffee in the world to cope with this!”  There are things in the world that test our faith in humanity everyday: the unoriginality coming out of Hollywood, the horrible role models we’re expected to embrace, the shitty way society acts, the selfish and hateful way people treat each other, asshole bosses, debt collectors, and the side of human nature that does nothing to help us thrive.

Inspiration: Inspiration can be the thing that keeps us going when all else fails.  Hope is the thing that we cling to, but hope needs inspiration!  This is the category that will feature artists, photographers and musicians that have great talent.  We will discover ways to nurture inspiration in ourselves and others.

Improvement: Self Improvement is a journey.  I see improvement like leveling up.  To gain a level, you must develop skills and learn new things.  You must challenge yourself to reach beyond the comfort zone you’re accustomed to.  Improvement isn’t easy, or quick but gradual.

Hopefully now that you have learned more about this site, you will take some time to look around, leave comments, and check back in.
