The One Thing You Must Learn About Life

John Crichton: My grandmother used to say life is a great wheel. Sometimes it grinds you down into the mud, other times it lifts you up into the light.
Ka DArgo: Are we strapped to this wheel?
John Crichton: That’s a given. The point is, is that most times you get a second chance. You just gotta wait for the wheel.

Life is full of ups and downs. The trick is to enjoy the ups and to have courage during the downs.

Life tends to work on a cycle.  Good times never seem to last, and bad times sometimes never seem to end.   But they do.

You must have hope that whatever difficulties you face will pass.

Which is so much easier said than done.  When you’re down in the mud, all you see is mud.  All you hear, taste and smell is mud.  It clogs you up and can infiltrate every aspect of your life.  But the wheel cannot be stopped.  Still it turns.  Eventually situations will change, and life will trudge on.

The wheel of life drags us all down into the shit sooner or later.  You’ve just got to hang on until it turns back to the sunshine.   For now, I’m waiting for the wheel, praying for sunshine.

Where are you on the wheel?
