Are you too distrac… Is that a butterfly?

We live in an age filled with wonderful distractions.  300 cable channels at your fingertips to flip through and still nothing is on.  At least DVR was invented so that if you plan ahead you will never be without TV.

If the television isn’t your particular interest there is always the internet.  Some of you are probably in a state of procrastination right now as you read this.  Finish up and get to work!

Its possible that we now live in the most distracted age.  Its amazing that anything gets done.  Several of us have smart phones which bring the internet to your pocket.  Anywhere you are you can watch an endless stream of stupid Youtube videos, or compulsively check Twitter or Facebook.  Sometimes we all need to unplug and try to focus.

Try to take some time out of each day to just be still.  Try to stop or cutback on multitasking.  Don’t procrastinate too much.

And before there are outcries of hypocrisy, I fully admit that this is an area I need a lot of work in.  I am an accomplished multitasker.  The reason you’re getting an article on this topic this morning is because I had to play wii fit, and watch the Betty White SNL and some MST3K after work instead of just starting on this.  So now, motivated by the promise of sleep, I type away, trying to finish this article for your Monday morning reading pleasure.  I’m trying to finish but, the thought of sleep is very
