Disclaimer: I’m only me

To be clear and upfront, I’m not an expert on anything.  I don’t have any fancy letters after my name, I didn’t even finish my BA.  I’m not a scholar or a theologian.  I’m just a girl.  I think thoughts, I do things, I try to be better tomorrow than I was today.  I share my thoughts if I think they might help someone, or be amusing.

If you disagree with my words, you may certainly say so.  I’m not unwilling to admit I’m wrong.  If you find that my ideas are wrong or faulty, feel free to bring it to my attention.  I’m always willing to learn, and see things from a fresh perspective.  I’d only ask you be respectful and open minded.

The promise of adventure: I might have a problem…

I’ve just purchased 14 new notebooks/blank books to add to my already vast collection of books with empty pages and it occurs to me that I might have a problem.  Maybe I’m not really someone who wants to identify as a writer.  Maybe I just like empty pages.

The empty book of empty pages holds so much potential.  So many adventures could fill in the lines on the page.  I look at these stacks of books and think that someday maybe I’ll scribble my great ideas inside.  Those pages could contain anything.  I collect these things at an alarming rate.  I just wish I could fill them up a bit faster.  But no, I just keep buying empty adventures.

This blinking cursor that I’m starting at right now doesn’t hold the same excitement for me.  Most of the time I use a pen to write these little rants out on before I type them out.

To be clear…. there isn’t much point in this post.  Just me admitting publicly that I may have an addiction to empty pages. I blame my genetic disposition towards pack rattiness.

Do you have a similar addiction?

5 random thoughts

Currently, lethargy or writers block or blahblahblah <insert excuse here> prevents me from expanding these thoughts into semi-articulate articles, so here they are in basic form.  Do with them what you will. If children are the future then maybe we should stop setting them up for failure.  Greed, corruption, and general selfishness finish the job [...]
